Parents & Player,
Happy New Year! Reminder weight lifting for returning players starts next Monday January 8th. The weight training sessions are on Monday and Tuesday nights from 6:15 to 7:15pm. Please take advantage of the opportunity to increase your strength, speed and agility.
Incoming freshmen will start on February 8th and lift on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:15 to 7:15pm. We offer an “Introduction to Lifting Program” where players are taught the proper lifting techniques for our four core lifts (Bench, Squat, Power Clean & Dead Lift). In addition, we will be working on improving each player’s speed and agility. Incoming freshmen will join the returning players in March and lift on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
I also want everyone to know the Coach Smith will not be returning next season. After nearly twenty years of coaching high school football he wants more time with his family. We appreciate all of his contributions to our program. I am pleased to announce the Coach Dorsett will be our Defensive Coordinator for the 2018 season. He did a terrific job last season for us and brings a wealth of experience to our program.
We have a very exciting fall waiting for us if players commit to doing all the preparation necessary to be a playoff team.
